In her newest book, Navigating the Messy Middle: A Fiercely Honest and Wildly Encouraging Guide for Midlife Women, is based on interviews with 118 middle aged women and demystifies this important stage of life.
In this interview Ann discusses how women aged 50+ have spent decades of their lives accumulating wisdom and life experience and, she says that “it’s not ok that some people would love to shove them off stage at the very moment they’re reaching the peak of their abilities.”
She says, “Something we have learned along the way is to seize the day when things are going great. Savour that feeling. Make the most of it. You must enjoy the good times because none of us know what’s coming around the bend.”
