This course is for people who have never used social media for organizational communications and would like to learn about the opportunities and possibilities. It’s based on a series of videos which explain the basics about each of the major social networks. The trainer will provide relevant, specific context for the concepts highlighted in the videos and facilitate a discussion among participants in which they start to brainstorm ideas for their own roles.

For people who use social media in their role but would like to learn about new, advanced features and functions of the major platforms. It combines video and live demonstrations and includes instruction on new social media trends and their impacts on organizational communications. The trainer will provide relevant, specific context for the concepts highlighted in the videos and facilitate a discussion among participants in which they start to brainstorm ideas for their own roles.
Social Media Strategy — full day workshop
This course is designed for people who know how to use social media platforms but lack the strategy required to see great results. It includes a lesson on strategic goal setting and a discussion of the metrics that can be used to demonstrate achievement. Participants learn how precision targeting and how to create a content calendar. They learn the importance of tone of voice and how to build a narrative over time. This session combines video and live demonstrations.
Social Media Tools — 1/2 day workshop
This course is designed to teach marcoms professionals the tricks of the social media trade. They learn how to maximize efficiency and impact. It covers automation, insight, content creation and content curation tools. It provides tips on how to work smarter, not harder. It includes hands on demonstrations and group exercises where participants can use their own laptops or mobile phones to create a piece of visual content or to set up an automation.
Social Media Optimization — 1/2 day workshop
This course is for people who use social media but want to improve the quality of outputs. Participants learn about content requirements of each of the major network, optimal posting times and best practices, the role of keywords and tags and integrating social into other marcoms activities.
Twitter Power User Training — 1/2 day workshop
A workshop for professional who use Twitter but need advanced knowledge to take their activities to the next level. Participants learn about the newest Twitter features and functions, the power of strategic planning and how to create great content. They learn advanced Twitter engagement strategies and complete an exercise to put the learning into practice.
The ‘New Marcoms’ — 1 hour session
This session is for senior business managers and executives. It explains how marcoms has changed. It explains the Owned, Earned, Shared & Paid digital framework, how and why it works. It outlines the required skills, talents and knowledge for success. The goal is to encourage participants to adopt this new digital paradigm and understand the resources that are required to succeed.
