Sherrilynne is an independent communications consultant with 18 years experience working for a broad range of clients across industry, both in the private and public sectors. She is a member of the CIPR and an associate of the BCS. 
The Isle of Man’s recognised expert in social media, Sherrilynne is a well-known newspaper columnist, blogger and a public speaker. She is the founder of the Isle of Man’s Social Media Club and is on Twitter’s PR top 100 according to TweetLevel. She is a director of Strive Public Relations Limited and is a consultant with PDMS, a software development firm specialising in web services.
Sherrilynne arrived in the Isle of Man in 2006 and founded a virtual communications consultancy Strive PR, originally founded to provide strategic communications services to the technology companies in the Isle of Man and further afield. Over time, Strive PR’s client base grew to include a broad range of industries.
For three years, Sherrilynne was the Tech Talk columnist for the Isle of Man newspapers. She serves on the steering committee for Isle of Man Women in Business, is on the Executive Council for the Isle of Man Junior Chamber of Commerce. In the past she was on the management committee for the Isle of Man British Computer Society and the marketing committee of Junior Achievement.
She is an Isle of Man Department of Trade and Industry Business Support Scheme Advisor.
Sherrilynne spent the early 21st-Century in Washington DC helping early stage Internet and technology companies progress from start up to IPO.
Throughout most of the 90s, Sherrilynne worked at UK-based PR consultancies where she was involved in delivering a broad range of communications strategies for both private and public sector clients.
She is a graduate of Algonquin College’s Public Relations Diploma programme in Ottawa and started her career in the corporate communications department at AECL, a leading-edge nuclear technology and services company.
