Well lots are. There’s YouTube, Flickr, Digg! and Wikipedia along with the uncounted similar sites that are popping up all over the internet. The concept of user-generated content (UGC) is now proven.
People will freely contribute their work, ideas and creativity to a website it’s true, but a few questions remain. ‘Where do you make money?’ ‘How do you stand out?’ and ‘Where do you find the time?’ These were the questions examined by a panel of experts on Day One of the recent South By Southwest Interactive (SXSWi) Festival in Austin.
