Clients are always asking me if I know anyone looking for a marketing or communications job. Or, people in my network reach out to let me know that they’re looking for something new, should the right opportunity come up. Or, I write a smart digital marketing strategy for a client, and they need to hire someone to implement it. This is a regular thing. Really regular.
So much so that I’ve decided to add matchmaking to the range of services I offer. My network is broad and varied enough that I often can make a match of the day of request. Other times, I need to tap my second degree connections.
Clients like that the candidates that I refer have already been vetted and have the skills, experience and aptitudes they want. It shortens their recruitment process significantly, and it saves them the toil of going through sometimes hundreds of applicants’ CVs and dozens of interviews trying to find the right person to join their teams.
I’m currently looking to fill two positions, both in the Ottawa area:
Manager, Policy & Research Development
One is a great opportunity in a dynamic not-for-profit organization–a trade council. The role is right for a someone with government relations experience looking for personal and professional development and an increased level of responsibility. Understanding of government operations is a must as are great oral and written communications skills. You need a driver’s licence and be willing to travel. Bilingual candidates are preferred.
Web Content Writer
The next role is for a web content writer. My client is looking for an experienced, talented writer to join a successful in-house content marketing team. The right candidates have five years professional writing experience and know the B2B software space.
