Google Hangouts Classic phasing out in 2019

Earlier this year, Google announced that Hangouts would change focus from consumer to enterprise with Hangouts Chat and Hangouts Meet, so it should be no surprise that Hangouts Classic is on the chopping block for 2019.

This is just ‘so Google’. They give you a really useful tool…then they take it away (Buzz, Plus and now Hangouts). — SS

Facebook’s the Collections let users save, easily organize and find posts from friends, Pages, ads, videos and Marketplace listings. Now people can share Collections with friends to give them gift giving for the holidays.

Scrolling Live Captions for every Skype call

Microsoft has launched a scrolling, live call captions and a subtitles feature for Skype users. The AI-powered feature facilitates communication for all users, especially the deaf and hard of hearing, and to create “a more inclusive experience” where users get real-time transcription of what’s being said in a Skype call.

Having ‘Close Friends’ on Instagram Stories

Instagram users can now make a close friends list on Stories to share exclusive content.  It gives people the flexibility to share more personal moments with a smaller group of followers.
