Things are looking decidedly different this month. That’s because I’ve had to dump TweetLevel as the tool to measure Twitter influence. It’s been on the fritz for several weeks now. I contacted Edelman (the company behind the tool) about the problem and the reply was that the company is working with Twitter to solve the problem and that they’ll let me know when things are sorted. But I missed doing the Isle of Man rankings last month and didn’t want to extend the break.

Businesses woke up this morning to find their Facebook page has had an upgrade that makes it look and work more like a personal user profile.
According to Facebook’s ‘Facebook Pages’, the new features are designed to help manage communication and increase engagement.

This is the final league table for this, the year that Twitter really took off in the Isle of Man. I’m tracking about 500 Island profiles, but I’m sure there are probably a lot more. Funnily enough some of the names that were on the top of the first ever Twitter popularity table (February 2010) still rank highly. And, there are plenty of newcomers too. The same can be said of the influence table.
