At Ignition Strategic Communications in Washington DC, Sherrilynne  held the role of COO and provided strategic communications counsel and services to blue-chip technology clients. She also played a role in team recruitment and development as well business development for the firm.

Highlights included organising media tours that resulted in client coverage across a broad range of media including CNN, MSNBC, CBS, New York Times, Washington Post, USA Today, Wall Street Journal, Boston Globe and San Jose Mercury News.  In addition, clients featured in dozens of technology trade and consumer media outlets.

Trade show support was another highlight.  Internet World, CES and TechEd are just some of the exhibitions at which Sherrilynne supported clients.

Analyst relations was another important focus for Ignition clients. Deskside briefings with thought leaders at Gartner, Forrester, The Burton Group, Datamonitor and many other industry analysts formed a major part of the communications strategies Sherrilynne pursued on behalf of clients.

Both employee and customer focus group research was conducted for major technology clients.  The data gleaned was used to inform marketing, sales and HR strategies.
