There is just one more week until the third annual Social Capital Ottawa, a one-day conference for O-city’s active social media community. It takes place next Saturday, June 1st at Algonquin College.
The conference blends formal presentations with community/un-conference style sessions on topics ranging from Twitter to LinkedIn, the technical details of self-hosting a blog to the how-tos of personal branding, and online community building to social media in the workplace.
I am presenting a session on mastering member communications in the social media ecosystem, a case study of Thornley Fallis’ recent work with the United Association Canada, the union of journeymen and apprentices of the plumbing and pipe trades. I’m also moderating a round table discussion on analytics and digging deep to gain real insight.
The event boasts a whole range of interesting speakers and topics. For the first time this year, the event includes a full day of pre-conference workshops which feature great speakers, including Spin Sucks blogger Gini Dietrich and Susan Murphy co-host of I Can Haz Podcast. These take place on May 31st.
Don’t miss this opportunity for facetime with the people of Ottawa’s social media community and to learn the about the latest social media thinking and trends. Book here.
