ICANN 45 gets cool Toronto look and feel

9 July 2012 4 Comments

ICANN 45 takes place in Toronto,  Canada October 14-19, 2012!  It’s a large international conference that will attract thousands of Internet policy and industry professional from all over the world and CIRA ( the Canadian Internet Registration Authority and a Thornley Fallis Communications client) is hosting.

I was part of the team that developed a look and feel for the event which was launched last month in Prague at the ICANN 44 meeting.  Our creative team came up with cool theme that is distinct, but which also harmonizes with CIRA’s corporate branding.

It showcases Toronto as a cutting-edge, innovative, technologically-advanced destination with a visually compelling look and feel that is carried across all marketing materials including video, web, print and a trade show booth.  The designs draw upon themes of welcoming, multi-culturalism and technology innovation.  Elements include a ribbon and text boxes integrated into full colour photographs to give the illusion of depth. Images of the CN tower depict the stature and grandeur of Toronto. Street views and green images demonstrate the diversity of the city’s landscape.  A limited colour palette is used in conjunction with full colour photographs and CIRA’s corporate red.  Typography features fonts used in CIRA’s corporate branding.

ICANN 45 is shaping up to be an excellent conference and a record turnout it expected.  Have you booked your place?
