There are lots of movers and changes on this month’s Ottawa’s Twitter top 20. Twitter grader has introduced an Ottawa Elite ranking that I used instead of just checking the geographic list. This has introduced a number of new profiles to the left hand side of the table (popularity). It makes me wonder if Grader looks only follower count but I don’t see anything on the website to indicate there’s been any change. All the profiles listed here score 100% on Twitter Grader.
On the right side we see the return of TweetLevel as our tool, thanks to Edelman‘s recent relaunch. It’s really a better tool than Klout for these purposes because it measures influence on Twitter only. Klout uses blogs, Facebook and LinkedIn as part of its secret sauce. TweetLevel lets us compare apples to apples.
Just a reminder that is all just a bit of competitive fun because the true value of Twitter is what each individual user derives from it; its never a random number on a scoreboard. Congratulations if you’ve made the grade in terms of popularity or influence or both. If I’ve missed you off the list and you should be there, I apologise; please leave a note in the comments and I’ll fix it next month.
