I’m like a kid in a candy store. That’s because I’m at the South By Southwest Interactive festival in Austin, Texas, where thousands of bloggers and Twitterer from all over the world have gathered to meet and tweet.
I’m here with the British Digital Mission, a collection of 35 companies from the UK who have banded to together on one trade show stand to present a united front in digital innovation. These are indeed ‘my people’.
Digital Mission conducts a series of trade missions by Chinwag, a UK community of digital media practitioners, on behalf of the UK Trade & Investment, the government agency charged with helping UK firms expand overseas and attract inward investmen
t.
They hold masterclasses, networking events and have marketing and high-level contacts through UKTI’s network of consulate offices in the USA.
